Hi. I recently exchanged my 2600MC for a "new" one because original had leaked badly twice. Perhaps I shouldn't have. So, I shoot from a RASA 8, which is said to accentuate tilt to some degree. I could see tilt in my images but, truthfully it didn't seem that noticeable except at the very corner, which I could usually crop out.
But having used my replacement twice now, I am appalled at the amount of tilt. It's more than I can live with.
I am attaching a screen shot from just an ordinary single light frame from both cameras, using the free ASTEP software. While my old camera does show some tilt, it's nothing in the league of the new camera.
Are these camera pads not calibrated before they leave the factory?
Can I send this camera to ZWO's American shop for calibration? Yes, I know, the camera comes with a "tilt plate". With the very small back focus of the RASA 8, the tilt plate is reported as unusable; no one is able to make screw adjustments tiny enough to work with the RASA 8.
