Last night was the first time I successfully completed a complete set of images (lights, darks, and flats). Background: Asiair Plus, ZWO120mm guide camera, RC51, and Canon 6D mod, and Heq5.
The lights and darks, were 180 second exposure.
There was an extraordinary amount of time between the end of each 180 second exposure and the start of the next 180 second exposure, my estimation was about 3-5 minutes. This happened between every exposure. Each 3 minute exposure took about 5 minutes to complete. My intention was to shoot 30x180s, but because each exposure was about 5 minutes, I cut the integration time way down. In the preview screen, I see “Loading”, then after the 3-5 mnutes, it would finally load the image on the screen. This was happening for both lights and darks.
I’m new to Astrophotography, so I don’t know if this the expected behavior of Asiair Plus. If it isn’t, what settings do I need fix.
