Same issue here on A7R4 - used to work fine in the old version but not in the new one.

Same symptoms with ISO "N/A" and Exposure Failure and 1s exposure time.

Timm Hi Timm. I am using an Asiair Mini with the latest firmware. For the camera settings, I followed this article: https://www.yuque.com/zwopkb/asiair/lf7nd44fruq3vukh.
I have not used the a7iii for imaging as it is not astro modified like my a7iv. I polar aligned and took test shots with the a7iii, then switched to the a7iv and used an intervalometer to take the shots.
Everything ran smoothly with the a7iii while polar aligning and testing to see if it found the target, so I can only assume that the imaging part would have run smoothly as well.
    I hope this helps.

I found a solution but this only works with Android devices.

-Open the ASIAIR app and install the old version.
-Then you reset the ASIAIR and switch it off.
-Then delete the app and go to the Play Store and deactivate automatic updates.
-Open this page and download this file and install it. https://apkpure.com/de/asiair/com.zwoasi.asiair/download/2.1

-It must be version 2.1-10.74 (Mar 3, 2023)
-If you haven't set up your Sony A74 then this video here will help you. https://youtu.be/5KsZ-79CsxA?si=iOp3ny7tVtD4GE4m

-You also need a SNAP cable for your camera and ASIAIR.
-Once you have everything connected, turn on your ASIAIR and leave the camera off.
-When the beep came, connect your Android device to the ASI Air and then turn on your camera.
-If the Sony A74 has connection problems, simply turn the camera off and then turn it back on.

I was able to connect my A74 and can use everything without any problems.

I hope I was able to help you and wish you clear nights.

AndreasK Thanks, Andreas, this is very encouraging! I have focus issues with my Sony sometimes, which is one of the reasons thinking of Asiair Mini. I got my SonyA7iii modified last year and will stay with it.
      Best greetings

I am installing Sony A7IV software version 3.0 to see if it helps. Anybody else try this or did it make it worse?

I have tried everything I could think of to make ASIAIR work with my Sony 7RM5 to no avail. Camera settings triple checked, used a shutter release cable. Results either in „Exposure Failure“ or something like „may sure that the shutter release cable is properly connected“. Could anyone with an 7RM5 could get it to work?

w1r3 I have the same issue, with A1 and A7RV... i asked them for help, i cut a ticket, and 2 days ago they asked me to send an email with a video. Which i did. Not hearing back from them yet

Sorry for the trouble, this is a known problem on A7M4, we are working on this, if there is any updates i will tell you.
Currently you can reset the firmware to back to the last version as a temporary solution.

Can anyone report on connecting the a6500? I see it is still “untested,” and I haven’t been able to find any reports online. Does anyone on this forum have that camera and is willing to try it out? Thanks in advance!

Does anyone know if A7IV still has issues with Asiair? Or has it been fixed?

It still has issues. Tried it the other day. Basically, in my case, unusable.
I understand that this is sort of backwards engineered for sony… but it used to work and now it doesn’t. Kind of very disappointed. And I just can’t believe this is taking so long to fix.

I am trying to use my Sony A6600 with an ASIair Mini - with no success at all. Has anyone managed to do this?

Tech@ZWO. Any update on this? I would love to see support added for my A7Cr

I've done it, it works on Sony A7R5 🙂 I've just done everything like here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5KsZ-79CsxA
Besides, you have to use shutter release cable for Sony with micro USB! If not you can not use BULB but max 30 seconds. So without shutter release cable for Sony you can take max 30 seconds picture
