ASIAIR App on macOS with M1/M2 processors?

Since iOS, iPadOS and macOS are very similar in their core now, there are several apps that run an all three OS without any changes to them.
Would it be conceivable to run the ASIAIR app one a Macbook with an M1 processor? I already have several apps that run an all my iDevices... That would be a great convenience and in my case a very useful feature.

I have operated my ASIair app to control each of 2 ASIair boxes a Pro, and a Plus,
using the station mode. the main feature I would like to have is the ability to sisplay a larger image than 10” diagonal. The app ran without problems at all, with the M1 Mac computer interface.
When the new M1 Macs were released I could download and install the ASIair app just as if it were on my iPads.

After APPLE changed the policy for the installation of iPad and iPhone apps on the M1 computers ASI has chosen to not allow their app run, on the M1 computers. I am guessing it avoids the additional support calls for the non tablet computers.

I still hope they will reconsider that decision and allow ASIair app to be installed in the M1, it allows a larger screen and much faster device control.

With the announced iPad OS 16 being able to out put to larger screen, that may help.

I bought my MBP14" after Apple changed that policy of freely installing iPadOS and iOS apps in macOS. From what I understood it is now up to the developer to allow this type of "dual use" of their apps in the Apple AppStore. It is not necessarily up to Apple.

Given your feedback, it would be a low risk for ZWO to allow this now. Everyone, who installs iPad apps on their M1-Macs, are fully aware of potential limitations, which seem to be really minimal.

@ZWO, I think you would easily find a few beta-testers in this forum! Please, let us know.

I would really appreciate to have the choice between the devices (iOS, iPadOS and macOS). Thumbs up for this feature.

I have a M1 iPad Pro 11". I connect it via HDMI to a 27" monitor. Although it does not cover the entire screen (a 2" black frame on each side), it is still plenty big. I am on iPadOS 15 still.

You might be able to change the resolution on the monitor. What I am getting now is fine.
