Hi Chen,

Seems a bit random but maybe related to calibration frames.

I imaged the cat's paw last night and stacked it with version 1.5.6 with no calibration.

I did the same with 1.6 and it was fine.

I loaded some bias frames and can recreate the problem, even though bias on their own should do nothing, right?

The stack was ok until I moved a slider, then I pressed Auto.

I tried to recreate the problem in 1.5.6 by adding bias frames and no matter what I did, it always worked ok.

Laurieast It will create a folder named 'ASIVideoStack_Output' at the video in the same directory as the video, you can find the fits files here.

Regarding the sharpening level that didn't work, could you uninstall the ASIStudio, then reinstall it? don't install on drive C.

@tech@zwo#56619 OK Thanks, found the folder with the FIT's in it, but it would be better if it said, jpg/Fit where it says save, rather than just saying jpg.

I had tried uninstalling it several times from C: and re-installing, and it would be fine, but after a while the sharpen slider would stop having any effect.
Uninstalled from C: and re-installed on E: using the same set up file.
Repeatedly used the sharpen level slider and it now continues to have an effect, so far. Before it would work for a while, and then stop having any effect.

But does that mean I will have to keep it on E: ?

@tech@zwo#56617 ....I have reinstalled a couple of times with same results on the only Dive I can Access... "C".
It would be great to find where to download and revert back to V1.5.

I have now installed the new Version of ASI Studio on three Mac computer systems. Each system will not complete an image stack from the ASI2600 MC Pro.

Computer #1: 2020 M1 Mac mini: with the latest version of Mac OS Montery: ASI Studio V1.6 replacing installed V1.5.6. ASI studio opens revealing the Six app icons. Opens ASIDeep Stack. image group loads. Stack command appears to Stack the images. when stacking is complete the image window goes black with no image.
two image files have been added to the ASIDeepStack folder 1 .fit file and 1 .tiff image, both of these files are black, no image but the file size is 156.6 MB in size of each
Computer system # 2: 2013 Mac Pro Desktop computer, 16GB Ram Memory, Mac OS Mojave latest system.
AIS Studio installed, the app will open displaying the six apps. none of the six apps will open from the ASI Studio V1.6 window. ASI Studio V6 total failure.
Computer system #3 2014 MacBook Pro.i7 quad core Mac OS Mojave latest version, `16 GB Ram, 500GB storage. The description of running ASI Studio is exactly the same as the M1 mac mini with blank black staced images as a result.

I have reinstalled ASIStudio V1.6 on an external drive and ASIDeepStack still doesn't work, ie I don't get a working image but a solid gray image that looks like a bias. With all due respect, I think ZWOASI should check out V1.6 of ASIStudio.

I checked my download folder and the install file for v1.5.6_64 was still there. So I unistalled v1.6 and reinstalled version 1.5.6 and now I'm back in business again. As much as I like the ZWO products, I think they need to evaluate their current testing and QA teams and perhaps make some changes....

Seems to be working now, thanks.

Can you add an option to view the files in the list using the arrow keys, would make it much quicker to weed out the bad ones.
