Calibration issue

We had many occasions in this forum to write about guiding calibration issues for some Celestron mounts and (for my concern) with my AP400 GTO with ASIAIR version later thant 1.6. (For a complete information, my mount works fine with this 1.6 version, and has the latest chipsets and firmware updates. I had last night guiding below 0.2" RMS, not that bad for an old mount!).
Unfortunately, I did not found any information in this forum, or from TJC about the fact this issue had been fixed or not. I tried the 1.9 beta but it did not work.
As I use an Iphone, and it is impossible to go back easily to a previous version, I don't want to make a try with the 1.9 version before I get some advice about this from Celestron users (and particularly @matt s who asked for this fix many times).
Thanks to tech@zwo to be as clear as possible for what has been done and what we can expect.

Jukka77 Sorry Jukka, there is no public way to back to previous versions on iOS. But on Android, it can be done. Anyway, we recommend everyone use the latest version. If there are bugs, we can work together to fix them.

Actually, you can. But you need a third party application called iMazing that runs on either macOS or Windows.

iMazing (Google for it) lets you archive a particular version of an iOS or iPadOS app on your desktop computer, and lets you retrieve it in the future.

I know that. Anyway, I'd really like to know if the issue has been fixed, as I asked for that many times. I am surprised that the tech team cannot anser this basic question! 😅

I haven’t been on this forum lately, as I have not been out with my CPC925; mostly due to the short nights.

Shortly after v1.9x was released, someone elsewhere in this forum stated that the guiding calibration problem had not been fixed. This report completely put me off upgrading from v1.7x (works a charm) to v1.9x on my Android tablet.

That said, now that I have two SD cards running different firmwares, I might upgrade my iPhone to v1.9x (and the AAP) and see for myself. A decent night, that’s not a school night, is like rocking horse **** in the UK and I hate wasting them…

Good luck with the iPhone workaround that Chen described, should you try it. The Android equivalent is super.

Hello, we have fixed this problem in version 1.91. You can download 1.91 and upgrade the firmware of the ASIAIR.

First I have to say I don't write on this forum to conplain, but to find help and answers. Actually, I'd be very pleased if this issue had been fixed in version 1.91.

Unfortunately, as I wrote in other posts, it was not when I tried it on the version that was put on test.
And it was not when I tried the public release of the 1.9 version in July (see my post july 8th); I have sent logs to the support team at this occasion.
Some other users also reported this bug (@rkilian on july 7th).

So I really dont know what to think after your last post '

We don't have many clear skies here, so I don't have that much time to test again the latest version with my Ipad.

It could be interresting that people who had this bug fixed with the latest version write a short basic post to tell the community what happened for them, as a feed back.

Hi Matt! I really hope that the 1.91 version will work for you. I know that it can be hard to spend a night just for testing, but I'll be very interrested in your experiences!
