Looks like the top part has a different exposure value from the bottom part.
What are you using as the light source, and what is your exposure time?
If it is LED light source that is partially dimmed, it may be pulse width modulating relative to a short exposure time.
Try using an exposure time that is much longer (at least 10 times). Reduce the gain of the camera to compensate for the longer exposure time. If it is still overexposed, use additional layers of T-shirts to cover the aperture of the telescope. See if that works.
