Since my scope is away being serviced, I decided to shoot the Milky Way (Graff’s Cluster IC4756 specifically) using my 20mm + Z7ii. My ASIAIR Pro (1.92) successfully executed the GoTo but failed to confirm centering … on each attempt, it found 4,000+ stars and, after a delay, would fail and then retry repeatedly.
I eventually cancelled the Plan and used Autorun to get some images as the GoTo result was very close (if not bang on).
This was the only time I’ve encountered this: is the centering confirmation logic overwhelmed by the number of stars being found, is it the distortion in the wide FOV, or something else?
