Any plans to fix yet the incorrect orientation of the main app. ASIAir is a landscape based app.. why is the opening screen still portrait. All iPads are landscape, there should be no portrait orientation.

this really is confusing why you designed it like this.

Also the Chinese characters are back on the US version of the app

Hi all i don't know if this question is writed on other post before, but with 2.0 beta i see that gain of camera, i have asi 2600mc, for all start of app, goes default to low. Although at every start I put it back in median alias gain 100. It seems that the app does not memorize the last gain set.

Kring Thanks for your feedback. We will try to adapt the iPad or Tablet UI more in the future.

The Android app changes the display auto rotate setting. I have it turned off but after using the app it is turned on.

I just tested version 2.0.0074. I find the GUI of the focussing section is quite a change to the worse. Its more design and less function. I used the old line graphs a lot to see if star size is getting better with every manual focus step and also to see the variance due to seeing. Now the y-axis is compressed so much that its no longer useful. It seems it was downgraded to a mere design element. Also I have the impression that the zoomed-in picture of the star has gotten smaller - which is just what you don't want when you zoom on something, especially when you dont have the optimum eyesight like me.
After a night of observing and focusing I find that manual focusing has become a lot more difficult with the change, because its much more difficult to see what you are doing. Looks just like a GUI designer has been employed who has never used the ASIAIR for observation. I am scared about the path ASIAIR is taking.
    Regards, Goetz

p099gll I agree with you 100%, the only thing that got better is the improvement on guiding,

p099gll Noted, could you share the screenshot of your phone on Focus page?

Yes, of course, here it is:

What I am refering to are the two graphs (red lines). In the old version there is a lot more room for the star size graph:

Does anyone know if 2.0 lets you connect directly to CGX (or CGXL) and bypass the HC? Thank you. Looks like a great update otherwise! Thank you ZWO.

The way the app behaves in Plan mode leaves room for improvement. It wasn't ideal in pre 2.0 and got even worse in 2.0:

          • Hitting the image glyph does not open the folder of the current running plan, instead it opens the "Plan" folder. One has to manually then tap on the folder of the current plan
          • Hitting "<" after checking the lights does not close the file viewer but instead goes up a level. In order to get back to the Plan mode overview the fastet way is to tap on the root folder in the linear tree at the bottom and then subsequently hit "<". Not smooth and ideal.
          • Re-opening the app does not auto-load the last acquired image. Instead it shows the last image that was taken and loaded when the app was active. If this condition is not fulfilled it just displays the blank canvas.

This behaviour is less than ideal, because a/my usual workflow while a plan is running looks like this:

          • Opening the app
          • Checking guiding and progress in Plan view
          • Tapping the image glyph to open up the images last acquired and checking them for consistency, star size, clouds etc.

          Proposed behaviour:

          • Hitting the image glyph immediately opens the folder of the currently running plan
          • Hitting "<" immediately closes the file viewer back to the Plan mode screen (if one wants to jump up one level in the tree, the linear tree at the bottom offers this functionality).
          • Opening the app while a Plan is running automatically loads the last acquired image everytime.

@ASIAIR@ZWO#58479 please make asiair plus adc feature. I am so sad that I baught the zwo adc and air plus. Please can you let me know if feature will be soon. If not I want to return the air plus and get mini pc. Thank you

Great! Can you do assistance for mono camera also? With wratten #47 filter. Is it possible?

Hi, I just try and it doesn't get the coordinates for android, still gives an error 4 on location..

                • w7ay replied to this.

When running the app on MacOS, I noticed a few times that after leaving the app up for a while, and connecting from my phone, that then I reconnect via the app on the Mac, it will show the Scan screen. I'll scan, and click connect next to the ASIAIR, then it will go into the normal screen, but there will be an error bubble on the WiFi icon in the navigation bar and I'm not really connected. i can click on the WiFi icon, scan and connect again, but ti will end up disconnected in the main screen with an error on the WiFi icon.

To clear the issue, I have to back out to the screen that says "Enter Device", and then it will scan and connect properly.

jcapurro I just try and it doesn't get the coordinates for android, still gives an error 4 on location..

Does your Android tablet have a GPS unit in it? On iPads, only the WiFi+Cellular models have built in GPS. Check the documentation that came with your tablet.

If you don't have GPS, the tablet will at least needs to know its own location somehow (often by using "Assisted GPS" through WiFi). If your tablet has no GPS and it is connected to the ASIAIR's hotspot, then it cannot get coordinates (ASIAIR does not have an option to get location from a mount's GPS).

If there is no way to get location from the tablet, you have to enter it manually into ASIAIR.

Notice that when you first launch ASIAIR, it will show a setup window, with selection for camera models, mount model, EAF, EFW, etc. On the left part of that window, you should be able to find the location data. Type those in manually.
