Newer version of the EAF with USB, Temp/Speed controller ports only. Is it normal that the ASIapp has a slow and fast manual speed setting for the EAF, but only moves the focuser at one fast speed, regardless of which speed is selected? Works fine at fast and slow with the hand controller. Everything else seems to work fine, although I have not had it under dark skies yet to properly test. See attached pics for current settings in the ASIapp. I have tried changing the Fast step speed to 300, and Slow speed to 1, with no change in behavior. Tried other combinations also but same result.
SRG The speed of coarse and fine steps are the same, It has two speeds only when you control the EAF by a handle
Updated EAF to 3.3.5 fw with no issues. Unfortunately, this did not resolve the issue.
Then why does the app have both a fast and slow manual focus speed options? So, as it stands, I can only fine focus manually with the hand controller?
SRG It is not about speed but for the travel distance when you press that button. The rotation speed is constant and when you press the "Slow" button it travels 10 steps respectively 30 steps for "Fast" but the speed is constant. I find personally that "Slow/Fast" is a better button lebel than "Fine/Coarse"
And about "I can only fine focus manually with the hand controller" that is not true - there is no "finer" degree that 1 step and you can configure (if you want) the "Fine" setting to be 1 step so you can do exactly the same thing using the AA GUI.
