AM5 with Sky Safari

Good morning,
I bought an AM5 mount and it seems to be working very well.

One question. I want to connect sky safari to the mount while in operation and do not know what the settings are that I should use. Can you please provide those settings?

Also, I also wanted to request a 3 star aligment. I will be using this mount more for visual and out reach purposes and the ability to do a 3 star aligment (with or without sky safari) would be hugely helpful.

1 You can get the WLAN IP and port number of the AM5 from AMH Hand Controller Management System.

Connect to AMH WiFi first and visit 192.168.4.1 with your browser, and you can find the above info which Skysafari needs.
Or you can install the ASI Mount app and open the AMH Hand Controller Management System in the settings page.
2 Multiple star alignment is on the to-do list.😉

Finally found a thread with correct way to connect SkySafari to the ZWO AM5 directly over WiFi without an ASIAIR.

connect your mobile device to the AM5 generated WiFi access point
(Out of the box default is SSID:AMH_xxxxx; Password: 12345678
go to SkySafari settings and select telescope presets… new preset
for the scope type, select GOTO EQUATORIAL (German) —or— GOTO ALT-AZ
(depending on your configuration)
For the manufacturer, select Meade LX-200 (classic) (there are no ZWO settings)
Address: 192.168.4.1 Port 4030
Name your preset and select it.

I've been using the same since December when I got my AM5.
You can also select Meade LX200 GPS/ACF,LX600 from the list of telescopes in SkySafari.

Thanks for sharing above. Goto Equatorial (German) with Meade LX-200 (Classic) works for me. However, I use AsiAir and station mode so I can just connect to my wifi and the AsiAir at the same time without switching wifi connections. I connect SkySafari to the IP address of my AsiAir (shows up in my home wifi router) using port 4030 above. This allows me to use AsiAir for plate-solving, camera, etc. and Skysafari for finding what to observe.

When using the ASIAIR in station mode it's helpful to go into your router's DHCP configuration and assign a reserved IP address so that the address doesn't change when you reconnect. Then you can label you ASIAIR(s) with their persistent IP addresses on each of your networks - you'll have more than one network to configure if you run a field router in addition to your home router.
