There are at least three manufacturers producing mounts with absolute encoders now (iOptron, 10Micron, and Astro-Physics). The ASIAir would be more appealing if it supported Unguided Dither Pulses as other software (like Ekos) can do.
The benefit is that ASIAir users could take full advantage of such mounts and do unguided exposures. As Easy as 1-2-3 would be even easier.
