I've got a ASI294MC-Pro, which imaged very good for the better part of 1.5 years (producing many great images). Then I found a mysterious noise source in my flats (image attached). After numerous forum posts and root cause analysis, I narrowed it down to dew on the sensor (see attached image). So, I executed a replacement of the desiccant tablets (quick changeout - no more than 1 minute, using new tablets shown good by moisture monitor in bag) and gave it overnight for the new tablets to dry out the enclosure. However, when I tested again 24 hrs after replacing the desiccant - same issue. I believe the dew is on the actual silicon chip (not the package window). I believe the optical chain vertically goes 1. silicon Sensor chip surface 2. microelectronics package window (this is the part I'm not sure about) 3. AR window of the ASI camera. I'm fairly certain based on visual observation that my dew rectangle, visible in the flat and the corresponding view of the sensor chip is on (1). I've tried the slow cooldown - doesn't seem to change it. Is there a possibility that my chip package has an issue? Any other ideas to test out? I've unfortunately lost 21 hours of data on M31 and M51 combined (not including the set up times - just pure imaging hours). Getting close to "stuck" with an unusable camera without any further mitigations.
