I have the Plus on order and I'm sticking with that for USB 3.0, but it's nice to see ZWO working to make ASiair even more accessible to us.

I'm wondering: Was the larger size and weight of the previous ASIAIR models that much of a deal?
Is getting a slightly slimmer package really worth losing more ports and especially ethernet?

Okay, it's more affordable, but that price difference is neglicible once you think about the omitted features, especially in this cheap hobby....

Pure speculation of course. Perhaps they left off the USB 3 ports to save money or so they could shrink the form factor. The only downside according to their comparison with the Plus is video streaming of their biggest cameras.

I wish ZWO would produce a power/USB hub, like a Pegasus but without the smarts that looks like a mini Air that mounts in a finder shoe.

The Mini version is more suitable for beginners who just step into this hobby. Cost-effective.
