Live stacking...instructions?

I can't find any guidance on how to live stack. What I want to be able to do is run a plan and follow the progress as it goes. Not interested in using the stack as the final product (I'll do that on my computer later), just want a quality check as I go. I'd like to do the following (not sure if I can or not):

Create/use master calibration files (bias, flats, darks) rather than a single image of each
Swap preview between last sub and stacked image (i.e. without losing the stack progress)
Continue stacking after a meridian flip

Create the masters on your computer then copy them on your USB stick and use them from there (no guarantee the masters will work though)
Just go to image management then find the last image taken and open it.
Pretty sure it is not possible.

I am not quite sure what you are trying to do. It looks like you want to use Live Stack just to monitor the stacked output while creating individual sub images for later processing and just dump the Live Stack image when done.

Creating calibration files in Live Stack on the ASIAIR will create a "master" calibration files automatically.
Not sure what the purpose of this would be, but enaiman's solution should work as long as you are saving each sub image. When you stop a stack it asks if you want to continue or quit. If you end up with a bad sub, you can always delete it in whatever stacking program you are using.
Never tried it. I don't know if Live Stack is set up for that, whether it would handle the flipped image. Usually you would use Live Stack for a short period such as for a public outreach event. Otherwise you would use Autorun or Plan for sustained imaging.

If I open the last sub, how do I get back to the stacked image?
Prior to 2.0 a series of calibration images were just that, individual images. I had to "master" them on a computer. I tried placing them back on the AA+ but AA+ would not accept them.

The point of this is outreach...watching individual subs get collected is boring, but watching them evolve is cool. I looked at the live stack option and it didn't appear to have all the options that a "plan" offered. Stacking the images from a plan is what I'm trying to do. Can someone point me to complete instructions? Like a link? Not a general "go to Youtube" because I tried Youtube first...they either left out critical information, or my attempts didn't work like they described.
