Question about Pier (PE200)

I bought this pier and it's arriving today. But having set up my gear several times now without it, I am wondering if I actually need it.

My cables are all long enough that I am not having any problem with cables getting snagged while slewing. So, my questions are:

Will the pier reduce the stability of the mount?
Will the pier decrease any possible vibrations that may come up from the ground into the tripod?
Will the pier affect guiding? A few nights ago I was able to achieve .4" on the DEC axis and .6" on the RA axis, so I don't want to add anything that could make those numbers higher!

If there are any advantages to having the pier, other than raising the scope and mount off the ground a bit, please let me know!

The pier is very solid and if you use a bigger scope it will give the camera end more space to clear the legs. It will definitely not affect guiding numbers. It just adds more clearance.

Hello,
What scope is that? I read that the focal limit recommended for AM5 is 900 mm. I have a TS130 with 910 mm of focal, but I couldn't test it because the clouds and rain.

Great, thanks for telling me.. The pier arrived and I set it up. Only took a few minutes. Now, if it would stop raining..

ajobacho it is a 115mm triplet. 805mm with 3” flattener reducer which makes it 644mm.
