Asi220mm mini works with everything except phd2

Drumsetplyr87 How do you connect the camera in PHD2? via ZWO driver or ASCOM driver? and what is the version of PHD2 did you use?

There appears to be an issue with several (all) users using the 220mm-mini connecting to PHD2 via ascom driver running on windows 11.
However, the same driver/program setup running on windows 10 works fine, please investigate.
note: PHD2, ascom platform and asi ascom/native drivers are all current releases.

It is connected via ascom. PHD2 2.6.11 is the version I am using. I have both the ascom and the zwo drivers installed.

Can PHD2 recognize the 220mini via ZWO driver? not ASCOM, please update the ZWO SDK .dll file on the PHD2 installation folder first.
We tested it on Win11 but didn't reproduce the problem.

Confirming that a fresh install of the drivers and phd2 in windows 11 gives me the exact same issue. It appears this is contained to windows 11 only based on ZWO and cloudy night forum posts.

I'm curious,
How is this dll supposed to be updated automatically?
For example, would PHD2 provide this updated driver (dll) in their program installer or is the ZWO native driver installer supposed to update this dll in the win10/11 PHD2 install directory?
I assume PHD2 would be required to update their program (installer) with your current native driver.....

Bonzer2u it installs directly into where phd2 is working. I can confirm it works! Tech@ZWO i confirm this fixes it. Dragged the new x86 DLL into my phd2 install folder under program files(x86), and once I booted up phd 2 it instantly worked as I would expect it to. Bravo!

Bonzer2u Just need to replace the same name file on the PHD2 installation folder.

Wanted to add another data point here. My Win 10 imaging PC also had issues getting PHD2 to connect to the camera. PHD2, and ASI drivers were all up to date and even reinstalled. I had to copy the dll from above to get it working.

tosdjuenfs Probably the latest version PHD2 does not have the newest SDK file.

HI! I was directed here by a friend suggesting I could find a fix for my PHD2 ASI220MM mini problem Thanks for the fix! Would this also be the right place the share that I also see the exact same behavior when I run The Sky X (software bisque) and ASCOM diagnostics (it thinks ASICamera1 and ASICamera2 are both my ASI2600mm Pro). Asi2600MM Pro is the only camera available to pick from the drop down in both of these programs. I actually even installed SGP and it also only sees the ASI2600mm despite having 2 ASCOM camera instances. Just in case you are wondering I can see the native drivers for the ASI220mm mini in NINA and ASI Studio so I know it's connected.

Should I possibly try this on the version of PHD2 that was out at the time of the original post?

Scotty_Maxwell If you connect the ASI220MINI via ASCOM driver, need to install the latest version ASCOM driver.
