PE200, EQ6 tripod adaptor

Hi,

I just purchased a PE200 and wish to connect it with my skywatcher EQ6 tripod. The included adaptor plate is for the EQ5 which has an m8 thread. Are you going to release an equivalent adaptor plate with an m12 thread for the EQ6 tripod?

zuts I wish they did too but their response sounds like a broken record. Doubt it will happen.

A metal fabrication shop would be able to widen that hole and tap it to M12 easily.

Hello @ASIMount@ZWO I am one of the early adopters of the AM5 mount. I had also purchased the PE70 blocks (two of them) for the tripod. My question is how can I get the skywatcher adapter for the PE70 extension? I definitely do not want to spend another $170 to buy the PE200 extension.

Yes - I know I need a new adapter! My question to ZWO is - once you sold me the PE70 extension blocks, why should I buy the PE200 block to get the skywatcher adapter? Why can't you sell me the skywatcher adapter alone?

It is a ransom if you want to fork out a full $170 from me when I have already bought two PE70 blocks.

Does this make sense?
