Astroberry for the Raspberry Pi-4 Last clean image update 1-5/2023
Astroberry suite includes KSTARS/EKOS up to version 3.6.0 and INDI drivers. Before this procedure the AM5 just sits idle , red/green LED blinks, EKOS/INDI will read the AM5 version number, no AM5 action.
Without a lot of explanation to make the AM5 work with this software it is FIRST necessary to use the simple AM5 app to set the time and location to the AM5 then leaving the AM5 POWERED UP, attach the USB cables to the Astroberry Raspberry Pi, start KSTARS/EKOS using the ZWO AM5 mount driver and now GoTo operations will work. The AM5 slowly Blinks RED.
Problem, the AM5 blinks RED/GREEN because it does NOT retain the date/time and must be synched every time it is powered on otherwise the astroberry host software reads the date as year 2000 and setting the EKOS date correctly does not transmit and update the AM5.
NOTE: Ubuntu 20.04 , KSTARS 3.6.3 does not have this problem.
I hope I have written this clearly and will answer questions.
