Orion nebula with narrowband filter

Just moved to using narrowband filtering (Optolong L-Extreme) with the ZWO 2600MC Pro and a Redcat 51 scope/lens. Bortle 7-8 sky.

Someone suggested trying out Topaz Denoise AI on the image - and the results look great. The image was from 30 5 minute exposures and was processed initially with SIRIL

ajorennie Very nice! Denoising makes it look even better. I can't wait to get my SpaceCat 51 with my 2600MC Pro and the Idas NBZ dual-narrowband filter out to shoot Orion. Unfortunately, i am clouded out for months now. Bortle 4 does not help much anyway 😃

Thanks! I'm a big fan of the Redcat 51, used an old Canon 550D for a while and then upgraded to the ZWO 2600 which was a big revelation particularly as the 550D was unmodded. I got lucky with seeing a couple of nights ago in London, but cloud is now settled back in so sympathise. Good luck!
