Compare the comet's (RA, declination) coordinates in the ASIAIR with the coordinates from something like SkySafari's ephemeris. You can do the checking even in the daytime.
Remember that, just like the case of nebulas, ASIAIR will GOTO and plate solve the coordinates using the background stars, and not looking for the comet or the nebulas themselves.
