ASIStudio v1.8 is released ~

Release log:

New Features:

Added meteor detection and imaging software - ASIMeteor Cap;
Added the video converter ASIFormatTool which can be started from ASIMeteorCap;
Functional Optimization:
UI optimization of ASIStudio's navigation page;
ASICap | ASIImg | ASILive EAF's supported maximum steps increased to 600,000;

Bug fix:

Fixed the data error in the algorithm of ASIFitsView's histogram;
Fixed the issue that capture data in ASIImg and ASILive can not be saved with custom exposures;
Fixed the error report that the image's Bayer pattern is different from the reference when importing the image without the integrated Bayer pattern information for the second time.
Fixed some bugs

If the automatic update fails, please download it manually~

And if you met any problems or have any suggestions to provide, feel free to post them, we will check them ASAP and bring them back to the team.

Hi, I have updated to v1.8 but now I am having problems with DeepSky Stack! It crashes when trying to stack images. V1.7 work perfectly every time! I did send a system log report via feedback.

Was hat ASI als Lösung angeboten? Habe selbst noch keine Antwort bekommen.

Having the same problem kind of.....
Stacks Bias, flats and darks and produces masters but stops processing at 66% and places an img_temp file (68,522KB) for every light fits file in the destination folder. Using Studio 1.8.1 in Windows 10.
Basically the process stops as soon as light files need to be stacked for a final image.

And would you like to provide us some screenshots or recording videos via Google Drive or Dropbox? Meanwhile, could you pay attention to the memory usage of your computer(windows: use Task Manager , mac: use activity monitor), as it is currently known that such issues should be related to memory usage.

Hi, every one, we will optimize this ASIDeepStack crash issue. And Since we currently known that such issues should be related to memory usage, we recommend that you use ASIDeepStack on a PC with sufficient memory.

The download page (at least the Mac tab) still shows version 1.7 and its release date while the link itself actually downloads version 1.8. Someone at ZWO should update the description.

Edit: in another thread i found a link to this site: https://www.zwoastro.com/downloads/asistudio where v1.8 can be downloaded.

The Store, Manuals, Software, … links at the top of this forum still link to (the old?) astronomy-imaging-camera.com Maybe you could change those links to the new website and make an announcement. Otherwise it's confusing to see version XYZ is released but can't be found on the old website. Thanks in advance.

When are you going to add dithering? It would make this program much more useful. My friend uses a paramount and the sky x. He uses this for image acquisition with the 2400mc. He cannot dither. Please add simple dithering like the asi air uses

Nach Update auf 1.9.1 gibt es nur noch Programmabstürze bei deepscystack. Nur light stacking ist ok, aber mit dark, flat und bias gibt es nur noch Absturz. Ich verwende Windows 10. Vor dem Update war alle ok!

Hi, I have seen that ASIImg and ASICap doesn't show the language correctly. In fact only boxes appear instead of letters. This happens on a Mac Studio M1 Max but not in a MacBook Pro i9. Only affects these 2 applications included in ASIStudio but not the others. I have tried to completely remove ASIStudio and install it again but it didn't worked. Also tried to change the language but both shows only boxes in any language I try to choose. Any idea why this can be happening? Thank you. Best. Antonio

Hallo zusammen, hier ein Fortschritt und ein Lösungsansatz: nachdem ich den verwendeten Stick (Verbatim 64 GB) gegen einen anderen Speicher ausgetauscht habe, ging das Stapeln wieder. Es muss wohl an der Verquickung vom Asiair- Betriebssystem, dem Stick und Asistudio unter Windows liegen. Weiterhin habe ich in ein Android-Tablet investiert, um die Windows-Notebook-Lösung mittels Android-Emulator zu umgehen. Seit dem gehen auch wieder alle Asiair-Funktionen so, wie es mal vor dem vorletzten Update des Asiair ging. Bitte prüft euren Stick. Und die Arbeit mit den Emulatoren lasst besser bleiben. Zumindest bei mir arbeitet jetzt alles so, wie es soll. Thomas
