I am having a strange behavior when connecting to my ZWO ASI1600MM-Pro Camera. The camera connects fine and seems to operate as expected - with the exception that the camera cooler controls are non-functional and grayed out.
Despite this camera seems to cool to a temp of -10C - however, that is not what is set up in the profile or in the Controls Panel Screen.
The cooler screen shows the current temp as it cools down but does not show the target temp. The Set, WARM,COOL, and ABORT buttons are grayed out.
I am currently running the following versions of software:
SGP version 4…2.0.965
ASCOM Platform version: 6.6 SP1 - 6.6.1.3673
ZWO ASCOM Driver version: 3.21
I have tried re-installing the ASCOM platform, the ZWO driver, and SGP. None of this corrects the problem.
I have tried connecting directly with the camera with a different and new USB 3.0 cable, and that makes no difference.
I run three scopes using 3 laptops set up with similar software. When I use one of those other laptops with the same version of all software, it connects, and everything works fine - which seems to rule out the camera as being the issue.
I have looked at the log file, and it looks like the ASCOM driver is having problems accessing the cooler controls:
