Assuming that Station Mode has been turn off, try this:
Go to iPadOS WiFI Settings. Select the ASIAIR's SSID as the WiFi Network. If asked, use 12345678 as password.
At the far right of the ASIAIR WiFi entry, you will see three small icons, a lock icon, a WiFi icon, and a GetInfo Icon (a circumscribed lower case i). Tap on GetInfo. Look for "Private WiFi Address and turn that off (you probably won't need to, but in case the ASIAIR does not like MAC address that changes) Then check that the Router's IPv4 address is 10.0.0.1.
Quit iPadOS Settings.
Launch ASIAIR app.
If Enter Device does not connect the iPad to the ASIAIR, you should see a small window with a large green Scan button. Try Scanning just to be sure. If the ASIAIR turns up, just tap Connect.
If it does not turn up, tap on the grayed out "Device IP" text. That text should change to a text box and the iPadOS should also have brought up the virtual keyboad. Type in "10.0.0.1", eject the virtual keyboard and tap on "Connect" that is on the right of the "10.0.0.1" which you have just typed in.
I.e., with the above, you are forcing the ASIAIR app to connect using a direct IP address instead of the Zeroconf (also known as Bonjour) name of "ASIAIR".
ASIAIR's WiFi implementation does not conform to WiFi and Zeroconf standards -- they probably cut and pasted their network code from some dubious sources.
Remember that you can always use direct Ethernet connection between the ASIAIR and the router (or to the iPad using a WiFi dongle). That does not go through the ASIAIR's buggy WiFi code.
