w7ay Finally got around to resetting the iPad screen display. The screen was red with diminished illumination BUT, could not do polar alignment because couldn’t read the green lettering for amounts of adjustment in altitude and azimuth. This result is similar to using a rubylith film in front of the iPad screen.
The only option I see is for ZWO to give an option in the ASIAIR+ to display white text with a black background. It would be very readable and not produce a lot of white light. Even less white light with a rubylith film in front.
I annoyed my son (visual observer) and possibly others at his astronomy village when I had to try and shield the white light from my iPad, I thought inside my shirt, until he commented.
ASIAIR+ is a great device BUT creates issues for others. I could control my computer screen’s white light with the rubylith film. HATE the green and blue text and number choice by ZWO!
