Pulling my hair out: Random Disconnect both MOUNT and GUIDE CAM?

Gone through the hoops on this one.

Asi Air pro, Vixen SXD2/Starbook 10, 533MC Pro main, 178MM guide

When taking a sequence of guided light frames, I will get random disconnects (maybe two per session) of BOTH mount and guide camera. No warning. No alert. Guide graph just stops, main camera will continue shooting, stars will trail, target will drift.

Both will be greyed out in the AAP app and I have to flip the screen toggles back on. Guide camera usually shows up as 'none'. Usually have to re-select the 178MM although sometimes it isn't there (no option but none)

I can get that a USB or camera issue could cause a dropped connection, but what would cause both mount and guide camera to disconnect simultaneously?

Edit: AAP is connected to a 750 Slate router by shielded LAN. LAN connection to SB10. 5GHz Wifi connection from tablet to router.

I've changed all the original USB cables to good quality aftermarket ones, all bundled and secured. I have separate 13.6V supplies to mount, AAP, and 533MC camera so I'm pretty sure it's not power or voltage related. I've even added a Pegasus Powerbox Micro to take the load off the ASI Air Bus but no change...

You probably just won the ZWO "USB Lottery."

Try connecting a powered USB 3.1 hub using the shortest USB 3.1 cable that you can find to go between the hub and one of the ASIAIR's USB 3 (baby blue plastic insert) port. Don't let the USB cable be longer than 0.5m.

Except for the hub connection, remove all devices from the USB ports of the ASIAIR, and connect through the hub instead.

See if that works better (it usually give you slightly better odds with the "lottery"). You might have a powered USB hub that you can "borrow" to test with.

If only the mount and guide camera are dropping out, but not your main camera, the Slate is not the problem -- if it were, your main camera would have dropped off too.

w7ay Thanks for the response Chen, appreciated.

I've tried with the guide cam connected to either the AAP or the main camera hub, same issue.
The Mount is connected via LAN (LAN cable between AAP and router / router to Vixen Starbook 10) so I can't see how an issue with the USB hub would also disconnect the mount at the same time as the guide camera.

ZWO, any Ideas why Asi Air Pro is dropping both mount connection and guide scope? Mount is connected via Lan (Starbook 10, Vixen). Guide scope ASI 178MM via USB2

I'm guessing faulty USB cable.

Try different cables to see if the issue continues.

Eriktim82 Read my initial post. Plus the mount is connected by LAN cable.

Have you tried re-downloading the ASI AIR software?
