For example my guide scope is often used for lunar observing and it has a EAF installed. Right now I have to disconnect cables to switch between the main scope EAF and the "guide scope" eaf.

You can already do that since the Fall of last year.
You need at least version 3.3.3 EAF firmware installed in the EAF. Somewhere around there.
Use one of the programs in ASIStudio. Connect to the EAF. Next to the name field that says "EAF," is an editor icon. Click on that icon, and you are alowed to add a few letters (no spaces) to the string "EAF". E.g., if you add "guide" to the name, the EAF name turns into "EAF (guide)". I have some 8 EAF, and each one is named differently (including the EAF on my guide scope). I have one called EAF (fsq85), one called EAF (sct), etc.

Yep, as Chen said, you can modify the name in our software ASIStudio.
I tried this and for some reason it only allows the Edit Name function on the newer EAF's that only have the USB connector (not the ones with the USB and separate power connector).
