Hello ZWO and community. Having some random disconnect issues and hoping I can get a resolution here. Over the last year my ASI294MM will lose communication (not power it appears) with the ASIAIR Pro. This may occur 10 times in a night or maybe once a week. This happens during PA, auto focus routine, imaging, and sometimes just sitting idle (no imaging or guiding enabled). There is no rhyme or reason to its behavior.

My communication connections are the ASI294MM, EAF and mount are plugged into the ASIAIR USBs. For power, the ASI294MM is on its own 12v 36AH Lithium battery. The rest of the electronics are on a second 12v 36AH Lithium battery. Cable strain relief in place where appropriate.

Troubleshooting to this point has been 1) bought and replaced all USB/comm cables. 2) bought and replaced all 12v power cables. 3) Swapped SD cards. 4) Swapped mounts (long shot). Nothing has fixed the issue. Unfortunately I do not have a second camera and/or ASIAIR to see if its those components.

At this point I do not know what to do. I have searched the forums and I hear of people using some kind of tape to hold USB secure. To me that is a band aid and should not be the fix to a problem on this type of gear.

Is there anyone from ZWO that can assist? I have captured logs from last night (failed during focus routine).

    Effers Hello, have you tried connecting the 294MM to another USB 3.0 port? In this way, you can rule out whether it is a USB Port problem.

      Have you tried a separate USB hub to ASI Air?

      294MM - USB Hub - ASI AIR

        @PMTeam@ZWO logs sent this morning.

        SteveD does this hub need to be powered?

        Effers Please try to power the 294 camera through the DC power port of ASIAIR. This way you can troubleshoot power issues

          PMTeam@ZWO I was able to borrow an ASI294MM Pro from a club member and continued to have disconnects. To you point/question above, I have tried to power the ASI294MM Pro through the ASIAIR and on its own dedicated power supply (two different ones), same disconnects.

          At this point I do not believe its a power issue, I believe its a hardware/communication issue, specifically at the ASIAIR Pro. I have swapped USB cables multiple times (cables from the camera, EFW and focuser), tried both USB3.0 ports on the ASIAIR Pro. Now the camera has been swapped. Same disconnects and various times/activities. I even used a different SD card with a backed image. The only thing I have not changed out is the ASIAIR Pro.

          I do have a ZWO Bug Tracker ticket open #0002339 but I have not received any response in several days.

          Hello, issue 0002339 is being reviewed by a developer. April 29th to May 3rd is a holiday in China, and today is the resumption of work day
