Problems with ASI533MC

I purchased an ASI533MC at NEAF last week and was disappointed to find that my Windows10 Device manager did not recognize it as an imaging device, nor did Firecapture. It was hooked up to the computer with a USB3 cable, known to be working with other ZWO cameras as well as a 12 V 3 A dc power supply. I had read on cloudy nights that other users have had trouble running this camera and some had success uninstalling old camera drivers and reinstalling the most recent ones. That did not work for me. I even tried replacing the older ASICamera2.dll in SharpCap with the latest from the SDK. Still not working. Very frustrating. Anyone else have this problem?

clifashcraft was it recognized as other devices？ is there no new device appearing in the device manager when you connect it to PC? maybe the name is not ASI533MC Pro
Please directly connect it to PC and do no use any hub, and also try different USB cables and ports

My 533MC requires it to be powered before it will be recognized by my Windows laptop through Sharpcap. This isn't the case with my other ZWO cameras. it isn't an issue for me since I always power the camera when using it.
