The recent hybrid camera R50 is strongly interesting for nomad astrophoto. It's not yet managed by Asiair. It would be nice to enhance Asiair quickly.. I just buy Asiair mini and R50! Thanks Dominique (France)

PMTeam@ZWO Thanks for the "receipt"! My R50 is now partially unfiltered, so ready to be used for Astro... with the AsiAir mini. Have you an idea of when it will be recognized by Asiair software? Thanks again.

Sorry the exact time cannot be determined. Because Gphoto doesn't support this camera yet.

PMTeam@ZWO thanks.. but what is gphoto? I cross the fingers not to have to wait for a llng time..

Hi, I came back to this forum to get actualized information upon compatibility with Canon R50. R50 has now a new version of its system (V 1.1.0) and AsiAir a new version too. But R50 compatibility is not mentionned. Have you some information about its coming?
    Best Dominique

ddaniel84 Thank you for your support, but sorry, we do not have such a plan yet.

I also have an R50 and would like to get the ASIair Pro... are you still ignoring this camera?

Me too! I plan to buy Asiair but I have canon r50 and still wait for information about compatibility 🙁

Rather than waiting for ZWO to support the R50, I suggest getting the app called Shutter. It's not exactly cheap, but it will allow you to program the camera to shoot serial shots using longer durations. This doesn't allow you to control the camera from the AISair but it at least allows you to control the camera with your phone.

Tech@ZWO the latest libgphoto2 update 2.5.31.1, adds supports for the Canon EOS R100, R3, R8, R50 cameras. Please allow us to use these cameras with your great product.

We are still waiting for Cannon R50 support !! Some program code adding process should be very easy !! Especially when some free program supports Canon R50 like "libgphoto2".
