I have a friend who is trying to use the above camera but SharpCap will not recognize it. I am trying to get further confirmation as to what procedure he followed to set up the camera. There may be a firmware update he needs to install.
I looked at the firmware update file and it has three files under USB 3.0 and several under USB 2.0. One under USB 3.0 indicates that it is for a USB 3.0 version of the ASI120MM Mini. I did not realize that such a version existed. I am assuming that this camera is USB 2.0 only as this is what is defined on the ZWO website?
Under the USB 2.0 folder exists two files for the ASI120MM (no Mini). They have extensions of .iic and one with a qualifier of "-compatible". It seems that version may resolve connection issues but could cause some degradation of performance.
So I am confused as to what version he needs to use. I see a fairly recent YouTube video indicating that the USB 3.0 .img file should be used. Is this correct?
