I'd like to be able to setup imaging plans without connecting anything to the ASIAir (ie just turn it on, connect to the RPi via wifi). Or if I'd like to stretch that out, without even connecting to the ASIAir itself (ie just open the app).
I know the app should know the gear you're using (eg do you have the EAF, what filters do you have in position x, y, z?) to give you valid options in planning mode. This is where the equipment profile comes in. The user should be able to save equipment profiles (eg what's connected now = profile 1), then the offline planner should be able to use the information there to enable the user to make plans based on a given profile.
