Hi
Avx mount+ Celestron C8
Problem with ASIAIR PLUS
Yes I don’t plug the HC Usb cable until I have finished the PA routine
Did you do a Quick Align in AVX hand-controller before connecting to AVX in the App?

Hi
Didi you really read my message from the beginning to the end ????
Chen told you to check the 1st post....

Hi
It didn't work.
I did exactly what you told me.
The AA+ warns me that mount is not connected, i skip and take a picture.
The AA+ asked me to move 20 degrees west. I did it, it takes picture and another 20 degrees left.
I got then the error about the RA and Polaris.
I adjust with the azimut screws and refresh.
Then AA+ takes a picture, plate solving failed. It did that for easily 20 times.
I tried easily 20 times tonight and nothing changed....
Are you trying to do an all sky polar alignment? The normal polar alignment would rotate 60 degrees, not 20 degrees.
Are you slewing the RA axis when asked?
This is what I did :
Connect all the things to asiair plus.
Connect the main camera to asiair plus via USB
Do not connect the hand control USB to asiair plus.
Do the PA
Take a 1st picture
AA+ warns me that the mount is not connected, i skip and take the shot.
AA+ asked me to rotate 20 degrees west
Take a 2nd picture
It asks me again to move 20 degrees west
It will calculate and I have to adjust Polaris.
When I move the things and refresh, it tells me where RA is and where Polaris is. Adjustment again and refresh.
Then it loose control, it takes the picture and I have the message : plate solving failed, it takes another shot and plate solving failed, etc etc
It was endless.
At 4 AM i was still trying to fix that shit....
It didn't work
Some screen shots at each stage would be useful.
Are you adjusting altitude and azimuth to centre on Polaris?
Nebula42 try the following routine
“If you want to manually move the mount RA axis by the 60 degree angle, you have to first tell ASIAIR that there is no mount connected in the Telescope Setup window.
Then go to Polar Alignment window and follow the instructions there (it will tell you when to move the 60 degrees).
After polar alignment is complete, Home your mount, reboot the mount's electronics, star align the mount, and then connect ASIAIR Telescope back to the mount.”
This was an answer posted by W7ay some time ago
Check if you enabled advanced features (quite for sure)
All sky polar alignment moves ar 3 times of 20° but pointing to an area far from North Pole
The standard polar alignment moves ar 60º once in one step, pointing the North Pole
Select explanation mark at top right of screen. Turn off all sky polar align. This was my first question. Hopefully this should solve the problem.
