Hello,
I have a question that I can't really find an answer to. Can the AM5 be controlled remotely? I mean control it over the internet? Is it possible to control, among other things, its power supply? I have read that it is ASCOM compatible, i.e. I understand that it can be controlled by, for example, the planetary program TheSky
Well, my observatory is in Africa and I live in Europe...
I will be grateful for clarification. Thanks!

Tempted to say yes. The power button can stay in the "on" position and power can be cycled on and off by plugging and unplugging the power cord. It has a homing position. So, if I had the money, I would ship one to Chile or Namibia. As long as they have support onsite if something goes wrong.

Interesting.. So if I leave it on and turn off the power by cutting it off, after re-supplying the power AM5 will turn on? If so, it will definitely make it easier for me to control it! Thank you for this information!

Grzegorz Yes it does. Since I read some users were having issues with the power button, I leave mine "on" all the time and power the mount by plugging it in.
