ASI 2600MC Pro hangs.

On 3/14/2022 I ordered an ASI2600MC Pro. It was a wonderful camera and worked perfectly until a few months ago when it started to hang in the download process. It would appear to expose the frame but the camera stayed in "download" phase until the acquisition software (NINA or APT) would time out and quit. The camera would connect properly and cool down normally. Initially it did this randomly but as time went on this occurred more frequently and it seemed to be temperature related. It finally became inoperable last night. Anybody have a solution to this? I really don’t want to send it back to China. I have swapped cables and checked connections many times.

Have you tried swapping out the USB cable. I had similar issues with my 2600 until I replaced the cable.

No but I am beginning to think it might be the USB port on the computer. A few months ago I switched from my MS Surface Pro to a Dell. Both I7 CPUs. Checking on that.

rayheinle try another computer if you can borrow one or check to see if your computer usb ports are both usb3. My laptop has both usb2 black and usb3 blue ports.

Yes. I swapped cables around several times. I am thinking now it might be related to the "USB speed" set in the driver.

I'm having that issue tonight for the first time in a year. I also began to suspect the USB port. The camera finished taking a sub and then hangs when "loading" is displayed, It happens both during polar alignment and also during imaging a DSO.

I also swapped cables, but it's not a cable problem for me.

I am going to try blowing some air into the USB port and also downloading the newest firmware for the camera.

jsg What you use to control the ASI2600MC Pro? ASIAIR or PC software?
Can you please submit the log to us for analysis?

There is no new firmware for cameras.

I'm using ASIAIR Plus to control the camera. It may be a cable issue as I purchased two shorter cables and never had the problem until I tried the 2 new cables. I'll revert back to the ZWO cable and verify if it's a cable or something in the camera. I tried two ASIAIR Pluses so I doubt both are faulty.

This problem continues to happen. I have the new Asi 2600mc Air and it periodically hangs when trying to download to memory. This is not a cable issue .
Also the wifi connection is unstable and disconnects often and station mode does not work. These issues were not fixed in the latest release. I am suppling 12V from the AM5 mount so wondering if this might be a power issue. Also the camera down loads to a USB stick on the camera so I am wondering if this could be an issue? My other 2600mc pro with my Asi air pro does not do this nor do I have any wifi issues.
Both are powered from the AM5 power port.

One other thing I noticed is that it typically hangs during the last sub download of an AUTORUN session. This might help with diagnosing the issue.
It seem like a software bug to me.

DennisG Any error message when the problem appears?
Does this problem appear if you use an extra 12V power to connect to 2600air?
