Hi,

just got my AM5 today. Could not go outside, due to weather. But: Shouldnt the Mount not automaticly start tracking, when i press the button on the handcontroller? The Mount is responding via the handcontroller, atleast in fast mode. in normal mode, it is not responding via handcontroller.

What is going wrong here? Could the thing be broken already or am i doing something very wrong?

I want to add: When i turn it on, it makes a short mechanical crack noise. Is this normal?

Castty yes, normal. It is the locking mechanism.

Ok thanks.. The questions remains, why it wont start tracking. Even when i use the AM 5 APP on my Phone, "go to" to a target press "sync" and start tracking, it does nothing ;/

Castty so you are pushing the “T” marked button and it does not start tracking? I have never used my hand controller for anything but updating firmware as I track and guide with asiair plus.

Yes exactly. I push the T marked Button and it does nothing.

One thing to add: The Mount app does not show the "Align" Button that i saw on some Youtube videos.. Firmware etc is up to date.. Something is going on here...
