Krikov i made the PA, then +5º from the Polar to make a solve and sync the mount.
No, do not do that!
Most problems people have after an ASIAIR polar alignment is caused by ZWO using a slew (not a GOTO) to perform that 60º movement of the RA axis. When you do a slew, the pier side can get confused if that slew moves the hour angle of the mount past the Meridian.
A sync will not work, since it only identifies the position the OTA is pointed at. Not the pier side.
The best way is to simply home the mount. Most mounts will find home even when the pier side is confused. After the home operation, the pier side is again correct.
For mounts that cannot find home (often, cheaper stepper motor-driven mounts that don't even have relative encoder driven servo motors), you will need to do this manually -- virtually disconnect mount from ASIAIR, turn off the mount's power, unlock RA axis, turn the RA axis manually, lock the RA axis again, and turn power back on and reconnect to ASIAIR. With strain wave gears, use the hand controller to move the RA axis.
