I am using RSpec where it is preferable for instant sight on results(for focusing spectra as example) to use the integrated Link to previously downloaded direct show driver.
I would like to keep working with the direct show driver, which is downloadable from your site, and runs perfectly with all my cams.
Except the ASI120mm-s.
Tomorrow I recieve an ASI432MM(for rather long focal lenght in use) and I hope it will work together with the directshow driver when I use RSpec, or the direct show driver alone for previous test purpose.
I would not like to use Sharpcap, because it is too cumbersome in use together with RSpec. The direct show driver is lots easier and gives me also the possibility to work in 12bit which is not generally the case, 8 bit is enough for my purpose.
Once I also observed that direct show driver crashes when I ticked the box for 14bit mode, I do not know why that happend. It crashed together with RSpec.
Maybe it would be recommendable to implement in direct show driver a checkbox where it is posible to remember or not the last used introduced values for video imaging.
Eventually like that I could use the 120MM-S with direct show driver.
