2600 duo excess hot pixels

My new 2600 duo has way more hot pixels than my 2600mc pro. What can be done, or should I make a warranty claim? I bought from ZWO.

Since ZWO had never released any specs on the number of acceptable hot pixels, it is highly unlikely they will take the camera back.

A local dealer who has a good rapport with you will often work with you to get you a replacement. That is why I never, ever buy anything of value directly from China.

There are many Bens on this forum :-).

There recently was a case on this forum where a user had to wait two months before an RMA was issued by ZWO, and that was on something that dead failed.

Yeah, PayPal and American Express should do the right thing for you. I would go to them first before asking for an RMA from ZWO.

Well, I’ve sent three different sets of darks as requested, yet no help. I’ve got to escalate the claim, now, and try to get a refund. It’s too bad because I think the design is sound.
