When powering off my Seestar it park in the wrong direction. The altitude axis slews backwards and crashes into itself causing the gears to grind and make a terrible noise. The only way to stop it is a forced shutdown.
Question, why isn't there a limit switch on the axis to prevent the Seestar from being able to crash into itself?
Please click "Report Bug& Log" on the "Me" page to upload the log so that the developers can troubleshoot the problem for you.
The unit is damaged internally, caused by the crashing of the axis and grinding gears. No amount of troubleshooting is going to fix that.
Dariv,
Don‘t think these are grinding noises but noises of steppers missing steps. I assume the mechanics are not damaged and the internal limit switch came loose ore cable came off.
Maybe trouble shooting will help. Fingers crossed 🤞

Stephan
Either way, my Seestar makes weird scrapping noises when it slews now. Something is messed up inside.
Dariv I recently experienced a similar incident (see here). Has your unit been damaged by this or were you able to troubleshoot successfully?
