New ASIAIR beta
- Edited
Tech@ZWO the issue with the beta and increasing the minmo from 0.1 to 0.2 is… A MinMo of 0.2" means that if the guider sees an error of 0.19", it will not issue a pulse. And, given the slopes of the AM5 strain wave gears, that error will most likely continue to accumulate to 0.39" before Asiair will attempt to correct (by the time it is too late, it already well behind the curve, and latencies like that will cause a close loop system to become unstable. With the Beta I saw in increase in constant small sawtooth patterns as it fell behind. The AM5 slopes are sometimes too fast for such a slow response.
This is why I have been asking for an experimental feature or advanced tab for the AM5, as harmonic mounts and worm gear mounts need different Minmo settings. My iOptron Gem mount loved higher minmo but not my AM5.
Where Can we download it?

R8 was not added to the latest libgphoto release. ZWO cannot do anything about this.
I contacted the libgphoto dev last year, did the things he requested, and got my camera added.
Can we download the beta from any place? I havent received yet the update. Thank u
evilc For TestFlight you need a code or link to access any beta. There is not a public access to try the next release yet. They said "these two days" 3 days ago, but we haven't a general access to the beta by now. There is an access from Facebook to a "gray" or "private" beta, but I haven't been able to locate the link or the code there. There are some lucky beta testers here who have been able to find that access but they won't share it ( may be because they can't or just don't want ).
@Tech@ZWO can clarify where to download this beta? Many people are waiting for a reply
