I have my ASI533MC Pro camera connected to the ASI AIR Plus. I have connected with a USB 3.0 port on the Air, using a USB 3 cable, and connecting to the USB 3.0 Port on the 533. In the AIR main camera screen, it shows that the connection is USB 2.0. Can I configure this someplace in the interface?

    No, you cannot.

Either the USB 3 port of the ASIAIR is defective, or the USB 3 port of the Type B port on the camera is defective. The ASIAIR is not connecting with that extra 4 pins that are inside a USB 3.0 cable.

ZWO has a very poor track record when it comes to USB 3.0; so it is likely that both ASIAIR and the camera have poor design margins.

You can try to "tune" a cable to make them work with one another, using the shortest USB 3 cable available (1 foot), but it is best to return both the camera and ASIAIR, and use a different manufacturer if you want reliable hardware.

Whatever you do, do not ever use any cables that come in the ZWO boxes.

Yes, I always throw out those OEM USB cables and get higher-quality ones from a vendor. I keep some around for emergencies.

I have been imaging with the Air Plus and the 533MC for over one year, and honestly, I cannot see if having USB 2 instead of 3 has made any major performance difference.
