Using OAG-L with ASI1600 MM PRO

Hi,

I would like to swap my OAG with an OAG-L to (try to) improve my guiding. I'm using an ASI 120mini as guiding camera.

Is it a good idea? or even feasible?

The back focus is different and I propose to modify my optical train as described below :

ASI1600 (6.5mm)
Ring (7mm)
EFW (20mm)
OAG-L (22.5mm)
It represent a total backfocus of 56mm.

Exactly the same backfocus that I got with the simple OAG before:

ASI1600 (6.5mm)
EFW (20mm)
Ring (2mm)
Spacer (11mm)
OAG (16,5mm)
The same total of 56mm...

LeBelAlbert Limited by the sensor size of ASI120 mini, swap to OAG-L may not have a significant improvement.

Dear @LeBelAlbert this is Stefano from Italy how are you? May I ask you if you realized the project in getting the zwo oag L applied to your asi1600mm and guide 120 mini?
Did you find improovement in guiding from normal OAG ?
I'm asking as I'd like to substitute my qhy mini guide scope with an oag setup.
