Hello, I have the AM3 and got 2 telescopes, 1 with a weight of 7kg and 1 of 11.5kg. For the 7kg I don't need counterweight but for the 11.5kg I don't know how much? 1kg counterweight or 5?
stefanastro With a self-weight of just 3.9kg, AM3 bears a large load capacity of 8kg. If a 5kg counterweight is added, it even can carry 13kg. So if you choose 11.5kg, you have to add a 5kg counterweight.
Does ZWO sell a 5kg counterweight? I found the bar online but nothing from ZWO in counterweights for the AM3
