AM5 power cable Management

Hello there!!
So I've had my brand new AM5 mount for a brief few weeks and what is already bugging me enormously is the fact that the power cable hangs from the connector.
Now if you are a cable management obsessed person like me, and for safety you choose to run separate power leads to the ASIAIR/ASI294MC/AM5, and you loom these up to minimise cables getting snagged.
You would expect some sort of gland or cable clip to ensure there is no strain or movement on this or these power leads.
With the very brief experiences I've had so far, the screw to cover the counterweight bar could be a perfect place to attach some sort of cable tidy point to minimise drag, and safeguard the main power connector into the mount.
Something that could still be used, using the counterweight bar or not.
Just a thought =)

Thanks, Chen, it's a good call!
But I feel this issue has to be dealt with, in future, by ZWO offering a sensible point on their mount to allow cables to hang to ground safely and not doing so by placing strain on the connector.
For curiosity sakes, have you got an AM3/5 mount? If so, I would really appreciate a picture of the spot you chose to put one of these cable mounts to deal with the issue, I’m sure I'm not the first person to have.

No; I wouldn't touch a ZWO mount with a ten foot pole.

You haven't browsed though this forum and Cloudy Nights?

I have been using strained wave geared mounts since 2019 (currently own two RST-135 and two RST-135e) and have never come across such bad designs as the ZWO copycats. IMHO, they had superficially copied the external aspects, but lack the technical knowledge and machining precision and proper QC to pull it off.
