Question about polar alligning and using goto on am5/am3 without asiair

I'm planning to buy an am5 or am3. How am I able to polar allign the mount then use goto functionalities without an asiair? Do I need a program like NINA or can it be done through the asimount app?

tantalusthief You can try trhird party softwares to do polar allign. So far ASI Mount app doesn't support the function.

I will be using N.I.N.A for my polar alignment at first. I say at first because I also purchased not only the AM5 but an ASIAIR and I want to test out the mount using my mini pc and Nina. Then once I get the mount working and tested out, I will then throw ASIAIR into the mix and see how that goes.

Good luck and if you need help setting up N.I.N.A, I would suggest you look at the user called Patriot Astro as he has quite a few youtube videos on N.I.N.A and has helped me out greatly.
