Removing Scope from the AM5

I've found that sometimes the scope gets stuck, or rather the dove plate is hard to remove from the saddle of the mount.
I've read that ZWO recommends a bit of lubricant, applied as in the photo below. In removing the scope sometimes the RA Axis would move with it. ZWO tech support said that this won't damage the mount or affect guiding accuracy, I sure hope that is the case. Anyone experience this?

Yes, I faced this.
What I did to solve was:
1- Remove the hex screws of 2 black grab handles and remove them out.
2- Clean all-except the black grab handles- parts including the springs with DW40
3- Add small amount of lubricant in all moving parts.
That solved it for me.
AND:
Make sure the springs are moving freely and they are not stuck, otherwise they will not perform the repelling function.

Yeah, knowing me when I start unscrewing a $2000 mount I'm the one who's going to get screwed! :>)

jsg no need to remove anything… just a fast blast in the 4 half circle areas.
Then just press them inwards a few times and good to go….

Yep, I found the same to be true. A small amount of WD-40 did the trick..
