I find that most times after a goto is perform the object will drift in the field of view until the backlash of the system is taken up but by then the object has already drifted out of the intended framing. Would it be possible to make the final move to the object be in the direction of tracking so that the backlash will already be taken up and the object will remain in the desired location. Sort of like the overshoot method of autofocus backlash compensation.
Alternatively, is there a way to adjust the backlash of the azimuth axis? I'm not sure how much backlash each axis should have but my unit has very noticeable backlash on both axes.
