Improving guiding with a better guide scope and sharper stars.

Hopefully in the next week I can test if there is much improvement in guiding numbers with super sharp stars and increased gain on my asi220mm mini. My cheap 240mm guide scope always had star bloat, but the Askar FRA300 has very small sharp stars when used for DSS imaging. Total weight is 11.1kg so I might also test the result with and without a 2kg counterweight.

I've considered putting my Askar FMA180 Pro on one of my rigs as a guide scope, paired with the ASI178 or ASI290.

Edit to add: I've pre-ordered the new ASI715MC planetary camera. With a pixel size of 1.45 microns, I'm interested to see what that might produce.

KC_Astro_Mutt iam looking at the FMA180 Pro too but it is not in stock and I was not using my FRA300 currently so as soon as the skies clear I will test! The FRA is a bit too heavy and high so I bought a counterweight to try out too as it is 11.1kg now and I also want to test the counterweight results too.
