Fleshed I posted this problem on the Cloudy Nights Smart Telescope forum, and a forum user there identified the problem (at least the problem both of us were experiencing). I was using my iPhone 14 Pro (iOS 17.1.2 with T-mobile cellular service) to connect to the Seestar wifi. Once I turned off the mobile data toggle on my iPhone, then both Scenery & Solar mode start working. Weird how the mobile data affects some Seestar modes & not other...
I need to try connecting to my home network (station mode?) or use my iPad which doesn't have cellular.
Anyway, give that a shot and see if it works for you.
